Tourya Othman (B-1962) - paintings, scultpture, video, new media
Tourya Othman, who currently divides her time between the deserts of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Marrakech, Morocco, was born to a musical tune of her father's violin string in Tangiers.
Not long after her birth, she became a citizen of Belgium.
Tourya began her artistry at the age of five, when she began painting and sculpting. She was always fascinated by art and its history. Her formal training and education included Art History and Anatomie studies at the St. Maria Art Institute in Antwerp, Belgium.

Tourya applies her knowledge to everything she does in painting, bronze Sculptures , photography, and short film productions.
Her work has been at an exhibitions in London at Lotta Hammer,Gent and Marrakech at Re Gallery...Many of her paintings are in private collections around the world. Additionally, she wrote, directed, and produced a short film entitled, "Loud-Silence," which explores the effect that culture has on a special group of individuals, the hearing impaired.
Tourya is currently working on the continuous series of Video films titled ‘Loud Silence ‘ a recherche of Cultural interaction and value of human acceptance in different Societies around the world, The conditions vary from a cultural economical and social conditions.
